“A Northern Damsel Dishes”

For over 20 years now I have been known both inside and outside my professional career, as a no-nonsense, tell it like it is, giver of opinions and advice (sometimes not asked for) and sounding board. I have been known to occasionally say things that are not always popular, but they are the truth (grow up it hurts) and my opinion though never malicious or with harmful intent. I was raised in Southern New England and now live in the South East. I consider myself a ‘Northern Damsel’ (although almost 40, the women in my family live well into their late 90s, so yes I am a Damsel). A Northern Damsel is a woman who is well educated, successful, wears pearls with blue jeans and boots, roots only for the best teams (Go Sox!, Gronk can do no wrong), says ma’am & y’all, but when crossed the Northeast Don’t F-With Me comes out!!! I protect all whom I care about and love regardless of beliefs (even political ones) or lifestyle, we are Americans first! I am your classic ESTJ personality (look it up if you don’t know what that is). I don’t believe in being politically correct or affirmative action. So if those two things offend you, then you can push the ‘x’ in the upper right hand corner of your screen now and have a blessed day!

All things Hospitality is my passion. My family on my Father’s side had hotels in Kennebunkport ME, and my cousin Bobby worked for the Ritz Carlton Hotels all over the world building them up. I majored in International Hospitality Management at Endicott College in Beverly, MA. On my Mother’s side, my Amma & Pop grew everything in their garden, cooked everything from scratch, and taught my Mom and her sibling’s independence and self sufficiency. I have spent over 20 years in hospitality and love it! I have observed in life, that all things revolve around service, hospitality and of course Food & Beverage (the Last Supper comes to mind). Everything from the farm where our food is grown, the textiles used for table linens, how we treat our pets, kids, family, do business, answer phone, treat people in lines we are waiting in, and even opening the door.

So, now that you have glimpse into what you may read or see on this, I hope you find this entertaining, full of some useful ideas, recipes, observances, and reviews. I highly recommend that you do so of course with your favorite beverage in hand!

This brief introduction and maybe an explanation of me and what makes me tick or at times question the very existence of the person or people in front of me, or listening to or observing. As I stated earlier, I do not believe in political correctness or affirmative action, safe zones or anything else that is making our country and society a bunch of sissys.
